Why Use Advanced Change Control
There are a number of benefits in using Advanced Change Control compared to Simple Change Control. Users of this new feature have seen a difference in how data is managed and effectively used by different people at the same time. With Advanced Change Control, your company will have:
Higher level of confidence in the data Run reports and make decisions on your complete portfolio without worry that the data is being updated or changed by someone else.

Increased productivity Run scenarios independently, removing the possibility of interference with the approved data or other team members’ work.

More clarity around reserve modifications Working copies are only edited by one person at a time. Approvals can be made for finite changes rather than aggregate changes.

Improved workflow and communication Automated notices can be generated and sent to approvers during the approval process. Changes are tagged with comments and proper audit trails.

Greater flexibility Have higher confidence in the data and make more accurate and timely decisions. Data approvals can be limited to those with more experience or expertise.
Upcoming Mosaic Releases

There are many exciting items in Mosaic product development, with a number of releases scheduled for 2011.

v2010.9 is our latest service release in the 2010 series and is now available. A full list of changes can be accessed from Mosaic Client Services. We will continue to develop and maintain Mosaic v2010 to ensure continuity for all of our clients.

v2011.1 will be available later this year. In order to better support our U.S. customers, our 2011.1 release will have a variety of significant changes including:

  • Additional data vendor connections to IHS (Dwights 298 format), Drillinginfo, HPDI, and Lasser;
  • Flexibility in defining and scheduling state income, severance and ad valorem taxes; and,
  • Improved U.S. reporting including extended SEC output.

Contact Mosaic if you’d like to see some of this new functionality.

Mosaic FAQs
  • Why does my cash flow report display a PAYOUT of 0?

On the Cash Flow report a Payout of 0 will be displayed under the following two conditions:

    1. When the entity does not payout, (ie: capital costs are not recouped from future income)
    2. If there is production before the capital cost is spent or no capital costs are entered (in these examples the entity is not treated as a new well and the payout is set to 0)

  • How can I hide the ‘Tooltip’ showing in the hierarchy?

    1. To hide the Tooltip which appears when you hover the mouse over an entity, go to the Tools > User Settings...> General tab
    2. Under the Appearance heading, remove the tick from Show Hierarchy Tooltip
    3. Click Apply, then OK

  • Why would a Capital Reversion revert to an After Payout interest immediately?

A Capital Reversion would revert to the After Payout interest immediately when:

    1. Either Lease Cost (COGPE) or Exp G&G (CEE) were only chosen as the Capital Types. Being unrelated to any drilling activity, both of these capital types are not factored into any capital which needs to be recouped, hence the interest is reverted to the after payout perspective immediately. (If these capital types are chosen in combination with other capital types, only the other capital types will be taken into account.)
    2. The CUM Cash Flow was positive at the start, (effective date), of the evaluation. For a reversion to work the CUM Cash Flow must start as a negative number and then go positive. If it starts positive, then Mosaic will revert to the After Payout picture right away.

  • How do I create a read-only user?

    1. Under the Admin > Data Security, create a new Security Group named "Read-Only". On the Hierarchy tab, set the highest levels of the hierarchy to "Read" status.
    2. On the Admin > User Settings tab, highlight the user you wish to make read only.
    3. Activate the Security Enabled checkbox.
    4. On the Data Permissions tab you need to make the "Read-Only" group current.
    5. The user should exit and reopen Mosaic to see the changed permissions.

E1PA’s new Quantity Quick Entry screen allows you to select a set of locations or enter all quantities for all locations in your property with a click of a button. The entry screen provides sorting and ease-of-use features, such as product totals, move and sort columns, and highlighting product colors. Overall a great mechanism for entering quantities with a view that suits you! Quantity Quick Entry

E1 provides online messages to assist in compliance regulations (PRA/EPAP), as well as tolerance settings to ensure the most efficient and accurate data is provided to the end user and your company. The messages are either Warnings or Errors and can be quickly edited online by the end user. These messages relate to the state of data when a save action is performed, or provide information post running a system process. Examples include: proration factor tolerance, meter difference tolerance, WIO not totaling 100% and many more. E1 allows users to search workspaces by a message, as well as provide a visual indicator, such as an exclamation point (!), where messages exist. Warnings or Errors Warnings or Errors

We are also pleased to announce that Ptarmigan Oil and Gas Accounting Ltd. has entered into a business partnership with Entero and is currently implementing the E1 software system. A successful implementation has already occurred with one of Ptarmigan's clients’ (who has interests in Manitoba) now live using E1PA. E1PA FAQs
  • How can I sign up for a demo?

Entero hosts a number of E1PA lunch demonstrations every month. This is an interactive way for you to learn about the product and ask questions. These sessions also give us a chance to understand market needs and continuously improve our product. Please contact Lyne Arbour-Heim (403.538.5900) or Dean Novak (403.538.5960) to reserve your seat today!

  • Is there an easy way to input opening inventories?

E1PA’s Opening Inventory screen allows you to find all storage locations in your property for quick and easy volume updates for all products. The volumes can be entered by well, owner, and producing battery. NGL inventories can be entered by component and a running total of the inventory is displayed. This allows users to validate that the total NGL Mix is as expected.

Also, an Auto-Populate Dimensions feature is available to find all owners and wells for a particular inventory, which makes data entry quick and efficient. The user can still manually enter these source locations and owners, if so desired.

  • Where can I find more information about E1PA?

Our website is a great resource for initial information. The brochure provides an overview of our product and can be downloaded here.

Industry News

On March 10, 2011, the Daily Oil Bulletin (DOB) ran an article called “Railroads Want to Ship Saskatchewan Crude” (read article here). This article alluded to the fact that crude oil being transported by rail is here to stay and that alternatives to pipeline transportation for multiple commodities is a requirement.

It's important to note that Entero ONE Trading & Marketing (E1TM) software provides detailed operational functionality for rail, truck, vessel, and pipeline. E1TM traces railcars, utilizes strapping tables to determine optional loading, schedules railcars and trucks, and sends shipping notifications (including railcar orders) for all products.

Our software is able to adapt to the changing needs and operations of our clients. We have deep knowledge around the physical movement of commodities and our foundation has been built on 17 years of experience in this capacity.
